Happenings This Week

Next week is Parent Teacher Conferences. I can't wait to meet with you all and share the hard work your child has accomplished! The book fair will also be here next week during conferences.

Next week there is also a school wide Positive Behavior Support party for students who have not received an office referral for the second trimester. More information will be coming to your e-mail inboxes.

Book orders are due on THURSDAY the 27th and will be submitted on Friday.

Writing!   

In writing we have been working on informational writing. We are almost done. We have been going to share fares and that is ware classes share their informational writing and we rite comments about their writing!

Daly 5!  

In daily 5 we have been reading to self and to partners and Miss Baxter has been taping books so that they will last longer and we have been reading a class book. It is called No Talking. It is a good book!

Math!

We have been doing tests we all have been working hard! We have also been doing division 0s and 1s. In multiplication we are soon going to do 11 and 12. And we are doing fact families and how they can help us with division.  

Fun things that are coming up!

There are fun things that are like the talent show and the neon dance and the book fare. They will all be so fun. I hope you are coming!

Happy Valentine's Day

Whew! What a whirlwind of a week... We got a lot accomplished in this short four day week though. And we still have our Valentine's Day party this afternoon. You can read Quinn's summary of the week below. 

In the meantime, please check your email for a link to a google doc with my conference schedule. Please check to see if your time from the fall still works for you and if not, move your child's name to a new/open space. Please move only your child's name. If you could shoot me a message and let me know you've checked nadir your time works for you, I'd appreciate it.

Writing

This week in writing we did is informational writing

We also did cursive a symphony orchestra lovely zither music five pieces for the violin zero one two three four five six seven eight nine ten 9:00 1:00 3:00 nine o clock one o clock three o clock twelve violins five four flutes six clarinets two trumpets three drums

Math

In math we have started division we are learning how multiplicashen can help us with division we also did remaders and ns example 24/n=3   8

 Reading

In reading we did daily 5 which is read to self, read to partner, reading group, work on writing, and respond to reading

Fun stuff

This week we had a Friday on a Thursday, and on Thursday we did a lot of fun stuff for valentines day and had a party at the end of the day. We did gonoodle which is a website to get your wiggles out.
